See what happens behind the scenes. The Alley Theatre's Education & Community Engagement staff leads groups of 10-20 people through various production areas, including the Hubbard Stage and Neuhaus Stage, backstage dressing rooms, and the Alley Theatre Center for Theatre Production. Our 75,000 square foot state-of-the-art production center is the only facility of its kind in the country. Your group will learn about our scenery, costume and prop shops, and visit other areas in which design elements are created. The walking tour includes stairs and takes about 90 minutes; however, it can be shortened.
Backstage Tours Requirements
Tours are usually scheduled for Monday mornings, but availability varies and should be confirmed via telephone or email.
Advance registration is required.
The cost is $5 per person.
Groups must consist of 10-20 people.
Participants should be at least nine years old.
