1^st act is a special membership group aimed at attracting young theatre-lovers between the ages of 21-40 that wish to become more involved with the Alley. 1^st act members enjoy exclusive access to unique Alley events, social gatherings and provide financial support to the Theatre. The primary fundraiser for the group is their annual event, which benefits a specific Alley program.

What are 1st act nights?

1^st act nights are designated performances with a block of seats reserved exclusively for 1st act members. There is one 1st act night performance for each of the four (4) Neuhaus Stage productions.

How do I buy tickets to 1st act night performances, and how do I get seats in the 1st act block?

1. Join 1st act by sending your membership form and payment in the mail to:

2. Once your 1st act membership has been received by the Development Office, a special promotion code will be e-mailed to you, which you will use to purchase your tickets online. Further instructions will be sent along with the promo code as well.
3. If you purchase your tickets online using the 1^st act promo code, your seats will automatically be placed in the 1^st act block.

Do I have to buy tickets to all four (4) 1st act night performances?

No. The 1^st act promo code gives members the flexibility to only purchase tickets to the performances they can attend/want to attend, as well as the flexibility to purchase those tickets at their leisure. The promo code lasts all season, so you can purchase tickets to all four 1^st act night performances upfront or you can purchase tickets to specific 1^st act night performances throughout the season according to your needs.

Are 1st act members required to purchase tickets to 1st act night performances?

1^st act members are not required to purchase tickets to 1^st act night performances, but it is strongly encouraged.

If I already have an 8-play subscription, can I move my tickets to the Neuhaus Stage 1st act night performance dates?

Yes. Call the box office at 713.220.5700 and request to move your tickets to the 1^st act night performance dates
