Alley Theatre's Fitzpatrick Internships provide training and educational opportunities to recent college graduates. Applicants should demonstrate entry-level proficiency in their chosen areas and the desire to develop job skills through the diverse opportunities available at the Alley Theatre. Applicants should possess basic computer literacy, excellent teamwork and communication skills, initiative and flexibility.
Internships are available in both Administration and Production. Fitzpatrick applicants must be able to commit to a 40 hours a week. Fitzpatrick Interns receive a $100 week stipend, free parking and complimentary tickets to Alley productions. They do not receive any assistance with housing and transportation.
Dates for 2013-2014 Fitzpatrick Internships are from January 7 to April 19, 2014. Applications are due October 15, 2013.
APPLICATION PROCESS Please submit the following:
A personal statement (250 words) describing the applicant’s expectations, areas of concentration, and how the internship relates to individual career goals
The applicant’s availability for an internship (dates, days and times)
A current resume including educational experience
A photocopy of the applicant’s valid driver’s license or photo id
Two letters of recommendation (Don’t forget to include contact information)
Applicants seeking an internship in Arts Administration, Education, Management, Development & Fundraising, Marketing & Communications should include a two-page writing sample.
ACADEMIC CREDIT Applicants seeking academic credit should contact their academic institution.
