STUDENT MATINEES
2010-2011 Season 

Now is the Time to Request Your Tickets for the 2010-2011 Student Matinees!

The Alley Theatre offers school groups the opportunity to experience professional theatre at an affordable price during the school day (tickets are just $11 or $12). Prior to the matinee, teachers receive a Study Guide to help prepare students for the performance. In-class presentations are also available to teachers who are interested in having an Alley Theatre teaching artist visit their classrooms prior to the student matinee to lead “world of the play” discussions and activities with the students (by request only and subject to availability).

How to Order Student Matinee Tickets
1. Student matinee groups of 10 or more receive ticket prices of $11 or $12.
2. Every 20th ticket is FREE when you puchase in quantities of 20 tickets.
3. Determine show date and the amount of tickets needed.
4. Group Sales will need your group name, contact person, address, telephone number and email address.
5. The Group Sales Department will send you a contract of your reservation request. To confirm your reservation, you must provide the appropriate signatures for the contract and return it to the Group Sales Department within five (5) business days of receipt.
6. We accept ONE single check, cash, or credit card (AMEX, Discover, Mastercard, Visa). We do not accept purchase orders.
7. No tickets are issued. Seating for the student matinees is determined by the Director of Education & Community Engagement to accommodate students with special needs, dismissal and latecomers.  The time of arrival on the day of the performance and the size of your group also influence the seating assignments. 
8. Lobby doors open at 9 a.m.
9. NO refunds, NO exchanges and NO cancellations. Cancellations: Any ticket order cancelled three weeks or less from the payment due date will be subject to a cancellation fee of 1/3 of the total purchase amount due.
10. To place a reservation request for tickets, please complete the 2010-2011 Student Matinee Request Form.
11. For questions or to purchase tickets, please contact the Group Sales Department at 713-315-3346, Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Would your school like to receive a Pre- & Post-Performance Student Matinee Workshop?

Please note that the Alley asks student matinee group leaders to take responsibility for determining whether a play is appropriate for their particular group. The Alley Theatre does not censor or edit the content of the student matinee performances. We will answer questions about the plays to the best of our ability; however, we encourage you to participate in our Between the Lines program to see and learn about the play ahead of time to determine its suitability. Between the Lines is free for educators bringing a group to a student matinee.
