Online Subscription Ticket Exchanges
Online Ticket Exchanges are available only to subscribers. Tickets purchased for individual performances may not be exchanged or are nonrefundable.
Subscribers may exchange your tickets up to the time of your performance (some fees may apply).
Complete the Online Ticket Exchange Form for the 2012-2013 Season. Please note that 2013-2014 Subscription Tickets cannot be exchange until these tickets are received in the mail.
Requests made online must be made by noon on the day of your originally scheduled performance.
If you are making the request after noon on the day of your performance, please call the Box Office at 713.220.5700 and press 1.
Bring your original ticket(s) to the Box Office Will Call Window at least 15 minutes prior to your rescheduled performance.
Because tickets are exchanged on an availability basis, we may be unable to meet your demand or provide comparable seating on the performance date that you request. If seats are unavailable in your subscription section, you will receive seating in the next available section.
GUARANTEED SEASON PRICES
When shows get hot (as they often do) and ticket prices go up, you’ll be enjoying cool guaranteed season tickets prices locked in with your season ticket purchase. If you exchange for a different performance date later, you’ll never have to pay more than the discounted subscription price paid by season ticket buyers for that particular performance and section.

The exchange fee will be waived the first time each season you make an exchange that has a fee attached. If you request an exchange to a performance date that has a higher price than your original ticket, the price difference will be charged to your credit card.
In addition to any applicable exchange fee, subscribers changing from a lower-priced seat/performance to a higher-priced seat/performance (e.g. from a preview to a regular performance or from a B-section seat to an A-section seat) are charged the difference in price between their original subscription ticket and the subscription price for the new ticket. Refunds are not available if you exchange your tickets for lower-priced tickets.
AFTER your performance, you may not exchange your tickets. In the event that you miss a performance, you may purchase tickets to a performance within the regular run of the same play at half-price.
If you purchase additional single tickets for the same date as your subscription tickets, you will be able to exchange those single tickets when you exchange your original subscription tickets.
Once you exchange your tickets, the original tickets will be put on sale to the general public. if you or anyone else uses your original tickets, you will be charged.
Tickets for one play may be exchanged for tickets to another play with our NEW subscriber benefit: Trade-A-Play. You can trade tickets for one of your plays for extra tickets to any other play in your season ticket package. Trade request can be made at time of purchase or during the season BEFORE the first performance of your ticketed play. Call 713.220.5700 and press 1 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to get comparable seats.
Because tickets are exchanged on an availability basis, we may not always be able to fill your request or give you comparable seating on the performance date that you request. Therefore, when making an exchange request by mail and by fax, please give us at least two alternative performance dates.
FIVE EASY WAYS TO EXCHANGE
To request an exchange, we need: 1) Your name, 2) the original performance date and time, 3) the date and time of the performance you prefer, 4) an alternative performance date and section, and 5) a daytime phone number.
Simply call 713.220.5700 and press 1 for exchanges, information, or to purchase additional tickets and we’ll process your request immediately. You will be asked to retain your original tickets and present them at the Box Office when you pick up your new tickets. All related fees must be paid by credit card at the time of the ticket exchange. The Box Office is open from noon to 6 p.m. daily.
Requests can be mailed to the Box Office, Alley Theatre, 615 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas, 77002. Allow at least six days for your request to reach the Box Office. We ask that you enclose your tickets and give two alternative performance dates with your exchange request and include a daytime phone number. If you wish your new tickets to be returned to you by mail, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. Otherwise, your tickets will be held for you at the Box Office Will Call Window before your new performance.
Bring your tickets to the Box Office (Alley Theatre, 615 Texas Avenue) during Customer Service Hours, noon to 6 p.m. daily.
Tear your tickets in half, make a photocopy of the torn tickets, and fax them to 713.315.5470 with your written request and two alternative dates.
