Policies and Accommodations

The  Alley Theatre adheres to the following policies to ensure that patrons have a safe and enjoyable experience. We ask that all guests be respectful of other audience members and stage actors. Please click on each link to read our policies or call the box office at 713/220.5700 for further information. 


Latecomers are NOT Guaranteed Seats
For performances on the Hubbard Stage, re-entry to the theatre during the performance is at the discretion of the House Manager. For performances on the Neuhaus Stage, there will be no late seating.


Typical Performance Schedule
  • Tuesdays-Thursdays 7:30 p.m., Fridays 8 p.m.
  • Saturdays 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Sundays 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • This schedule EXCLUDES Christmas Carol

  • All tickets sales are final; no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations.

Some Productions are NOT Suitable for Children
Please refer to play description before purchasing tickets. All children must have a ticket and be able to sit in their own seat for the entire length of the performance without disturbing those around them. Children ages 5 and younger are not permitted at any time.



Photographs/Recordings are Forbidden 
Taking of photographs or operation of any recording device in the theatre is strictly forbidden.

 
Silence Electronic Devices
Coughing and rustling paper are distracting to the actors and your fellow audience members. Please silence any pagers, watch alarms and cellular telephones or leave them with the House Manager.


Smoking, Food and Beverages are NOT Permitted in the Theatre
Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted in the Theatre. Smoking is allowed only on the Alley’s third floor, north outdoor terrace. This includes the use of e-cigarettes.

 
Infrared Listening System
The Hubbard Stage is equipped with an infrared listening system providing high-clarity audio amplification. Headsets are available, with a returnable I.D. deposit, from the head usher located in the theatre lobby on the ground level. For more information on this and other accessibility programs, please contact the Education and Community Education department at 713.315.5424.

Wheelchair Patrons
Access is available to both the Hubbard and Neuhaus Stages. Please notify the box office when making your reservation for your convenience and plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before curtain time.
