In British playwright Karoline Leach's subtle, provocative play, handsome con-man George Love enters into a questionable relationship with Adelaide, a lonely milliner in Edwardian London. A smooth-talking gigolo, Love's plot to swindle Adelaide out of her money is slickly underway when he encounters a few surprises. A tantalizing glimpse behind the doors of Edwardian England, Tryst is a wonderful, twisted, suspenseful and surprising play with an oversized heart. John Simon of Bloomberg recently described the romantic thriller as "provocative, absorbing, and overwhelming."

"Sexually charged, intellectually complicated and emotionally thrilling, the production is the best theater can offer. There's something wonderfully alive and deeply human in this story, and this powerhouse production team has pulled it off the page with erotic grace, intelligence and a beating and bloody heart." "Hard to resist ... well cast ... Mark Shanahan fully inhabits the driven, wily smooth-talking con man... Her (Andrea Maulella) characterization is rich in detail and nuance... He (Director Joe Brancato ) sustains the intense mood and potential menace," Houston Chronicle. Click here to read the entire review.
