Ashley D. Polasek

Ashley D. Polasek is the Executive Director of The Ken Ludwig Company, writing, editing, consulting, and contributing to theatrical productions of Ludwig’s plays. She was the Script Associate for Chichester Festival Theatre’s productions of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express and Crazy for You, and for the world premiere of Tenor Overboard at Glimmerglass Festival. She holds a doctorate in Adaptation Studies with a specialism in Sherlock Holmes on screen, publishing widely and lecturing on Sherlock Holmes adaptations across the US, UK, Continental Europe, and Asia, and serving as a technical advisor for film and television, most recently on Legendary Pictures’ Enola Holmes and on PBS’s Let’s Go Luna!. She is the author of Being Sherlock: A Sherlockian’s Stroll Through the Best Sherlock Holmes Stories, co-editor of A Companion to the Biopic, co-editor of Sherlock Holmes: Behind the Canonical Screen, and editor of A Plum Assignment: Discourses on P.G. Wodehouse and His World. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, editor-in-chief of the interdisciplinary journal The Conan Doyle Review, and a member of the Baker Street Irregulars.
