Jemma Kosanke is thrilled to bemaking her Houston debut! Jemma’s first professional stage appearance was as Little Cosette in Liesl Tommy’s (Eclipsed) production of Les Miserables at Dallas Theater Center. Although Jemma’s home base is a non-profit animal sanctuary in Hempstead, Texas, most of her roles have been on stages in New York, where she was honored to be declared "a terrific young actor" by the New York Times. She has played Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird at Bay Street Theater (Sag Harbor, New York), Kyla in Between Pretty Places at 13th Street Repertory (off-off Broadway), and most recently performed in a staged reading of Millions, a new musical by Adam Guettel (Light in the Piazza) directed by Bartlett Sher (The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof). Jemma would like to thank her parents for making it possible for her to follow her dreams. She would also like to thank her amazing instructors, Badiene Magaziner, Janine Molinari and Dr. Janeal Sugars, and her agent Nancy Carson of the Carson-Adler Agency. Jemma is a proud member of Actors’ Equity.
