Rui Rita

Rui Rita his recent Alley credits include Holmes and Watson, The Old Friends, Freud’s Last Session, Dividing the Estate, The 39 Steps, Eurydice, A Christmas Carol, The Trip to Bountiful, and The Invention of Love, among others. On Broadway his designs include Velocity of Autumn, Trip to Bountiful, Present Laughter, Dividing the Estate, and Enchanted April.  His Off-Broadway credits include the premieres of Dominique Morisseau’s Paradise Blue and Horton Foote's Old Friends and Orphan's Home Cycle (for Signature Theatre Company); and Skeleton Crew (Atlantic); Big Bill, The Carpetbagger’s Children and Far East (for Lincoln Center); Dinner with Friends (Variety Arts Theatre); as well as revivals of Talley's Folly and The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore (Roundabout Theatre Company); and Antony and Cleopatra (New York Shakespeare Festival); Piano Lesson (Signature Theatre Company). He has also designed productions at numerous regional theatres including the American Conservatory Theatre, Arena Stage, CenterStage, Dallas Theater Center, Ford’s Theatre, Guthrie, Huntington Theatre Company, Mark Taper Forum, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Old Globe Theatre, Vancouver Opera and Williamstown Theatre Festival.
