Shawn Hamilton

Shawn Hamilton is in his fifth season as a Resident Acting Company Member and recently appeared at the Alley Theatre as Gerald Lamott in Amerikin, Brucie in Sweat, Winston in 1984, Camillo in The Winter’s Tale, Monsieur Bouc in Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Father/ Rochefort/Stanley in The Three Musketeers, Major Metcalf in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, Freddy in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. in The Great Society. He also played Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. in The Great Society at the Dallas Theater Center and Saint Paul MN’s Great American History Theater. He has recently been seen locally at Rec Room Arts as Wynton in The Royale directed by Brandon Weinbrenner and has appeared at Stages Repertory Theatre and Main Street Theater. He has performed in more than 25 productions at the Guthrie Theater as well as Yale Rep, Trinity Rep, Dallas Theater Center, Center Stage in Baltimore, California Shakespeare Theatre, and Penumbra Theatre Company. Film credits include Jingle All The Way, Blue Steel, and Wilson. He is a graduate of HSPVA, Circle In The Square, The University of North Texas, and the Yale School of Drama.
