Telephone hours: Tuesday through Sunday, Noon to 6pm and to curtain on performance days; Monday, Noon – 6:00pm. Box Office agents are able to help patrons with single ticket and season ticket orders, as well as provide information about directions, parking and nearby restaurants or hotels.

Inside Tip:

Telephone lines are often busy early in the day. The best time to call is late afternoon or early evening.

Inside Tip:

Temporary parking is available in the AlleyWay (enter off Texas between Smith & Louisiana) when visiting the Box Office between Noon – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday. The busiest time at the Box Office is 1 hour prior to any performance, if you are not attending the performance we suggest you avoid this time period. If you are attending a performance and need to purchase for a future date, please do so at least one hour before curtain time. After that time, lines for will-call get very long, and future business can be given secondary priority.

Gift Passes

Alley Theatre Gift Passes offer ultimate flexibility as they allow you to select the shows you want to see when you want to see them.  Passes may be used in any combination- once per show just for you, or bring friends and use multiple passes for one performance. Gift Passes also make an ideal gift for the theater lover in your life. Two price options are available:
  • $75 Gift Passes are redeemable for one Gold Circle Section
  •  $50 Gift Passes for $50 are redeemable for one A or B Section

Exchanges and Refunds

All ticket sales are final and there are no exchanges or refunds. Only current subscribers have free exchange privileges. If you are a subscriber and cannot attend your regular performance, return your tickets to the Box Office no later than 24 hours prior to the curtain time of the originally scheduled performance. (Additional fees may apply for late exchanges.) We are happy to exchange them for another performance of the same play. Exchanges may be requested online Subscriber Ticket Exchange Form or by phone at 713.220.5700.

Lost or Stolen Ticket Replacements

If your tickets are lost or stolen, contact the Box Office to arrange for replacements.

Can’t Make the Show?

If you are unable to use your tickets for any performance, you may return your tickets as a tax-deductible donation up to one half hour prior to curtain. We do not require the tickets at the time of the donation, but a donation receipt cannot be mailed until we receive the actual tickets. Please insert a note with your tickets that you wish to donate them to the Alley Theatre and mail them to the Box Office.

Please note: If you make a ticket donation by phone, please mail your tickets in right away. Occasionally patrons have forgotten about a donation and then tried to use or give the tickets to someone else. Patrons attending a performance with tickets that have been previously donated will not be admitted without a purchasing a ticket.

CANCELLATIONS

In the unlikely event that a show is cancelled best efforts will be given to notify patrons at the earliest possible time; show cancellations are typically communicated via e-mail, phone, and social media. In the event of a cancellation, patrons are given the opportunity to move their tickets into another date of the production at no additional cost based on available seating. If a patron is not able to attend any of the remaining performances, they may select another production on the current Alley season to attend or request a refund. All refund requests must be submitted within 5 days of the production’s final performance. Patrons requesting refunds after this deadline will be given the option of using the value of their tickets toward another production on the current Alley season.

Appropriate Conduct & Liability

Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with Alley personnel and posted signs.. Ticket holders expressly assume all liability for risk and danger incidental to the ticketed event. Your use of a ticket acknowledges your willingness to appear in photographs taken in public areas of the Alley Theatre and releases the Alley from liability resulting from use of such photographs. Titles, artists, dates and prices are subject to change.

Firearms Not Permitted

The Alley Theatre is firearms-free. Firearms, including without limitation handguns, shotguns, and rifles (whether concealed or openly carried) are prohibited on the Alley premises. See Penal Code sections 30.06 and 30.07 for more information in English and Spanish. For more information about the Texas “open carry” law, please visit the City of Houston website: houstontx.gov/police/open_carry.
