Movement, music, and ‘magination! Houston’s Tony Award® Winning Theatre now offers something for even the smallest of performers. Kiddos ages two to four years old and their caregivers are led through fun and stimulating sessions designed to support cognitive and sensory development and to nurture the adult/child relationship. Led by Resident Acting Company Member Melissa Pritchett and Master Teaching Artist Bradley Dean White, our highly experienced (and totally awesome) team has adapted the Alley’s lauded Play Makers program for a new age group!

Meet the Instructors
bradley dean white, resident master teaching artist
"Mr. Bradley" has a diverse background as an educator that includes teaching singing, song-writing and musical theatre performance as well as acting and improvisation. He holds an M.F.A. in Theatre from Penn State and a B.A. in Theatre from UMKC. He has performed with the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, The Shakespeare Theatre, Cape Playhouse, and Nebraska Rep. He has also written music for regional theatres and self-produces his original pop music under pseudonym, The Perfectly Violent Dream.
melissa pritchett, resident acting company
Melissa Pritchett is a Resident Acting Company member recently appearing in The Winter's Tale, The Three Musketeers; Crimes of the Heart; Twelfth Night; The Mousetrap; Picasso at the Lapin Agile; Describe the Night (Urzula); Born Yesterday (Billie Dawn); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena); The Christians (Jenny); and One Man, Two Guvnors (Paulene). Other favorite Alley roles include As You Like It (Phebe), A Christmas Carol (Christmas Past), Good People (Jean), You Can’t Take it With You (Essie), Noises Off (Brooke Ashton), Amadeus (Constanze Weber), Boeing-Boeing (Gretchen), and Hitchcock Blonde (Blonde). Other theatre credits include Beauty and the Beast and Brigadoon (Theatre Under the Stars). As a dancer, she was a principal dancer for Longview Ballet Theatre. She has choreographed several shows for Bayou City Concert Musicals including Promises, Promises; Bells are Ringing; and The Pajama Game. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Sam Houston State University.
During this 5-week intensive, Junior and Senior students study with some of the best actors, directors and playwrights the Alley Theatre has to offer. Together with other passionate young theatre artists, students devise an ensemble based theatre piece for public performance.
