CONTENT ADVISORY policy and key
At the Alley we believe that theatre should be an enriching, entertaining, and challenging experience. Our community brings diverse experiences into the theatre with them and we wish to acknowledge that sensitivity to subject matter varies from person to person.
To assist you as you explore our programming, we include basic content advisories using the system of initials below. For example, a production labeled LNV indicates that the production contains coarse language, nudity, and violence.

Amerikin contains Language, Violence, Sexual Situations, suicide and frank discussions of racism and white supremacy as the author explores divisions within our country. The production also features a dog on stage for less than thirty seconds.
BORN WITH TEETH: L, S, V
Born With Teeth contains Language, Sexual Situations, and Violence in telling story about William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe that no one has ever heard before.
DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE: L, V, S
Dead Man’s Cell Phone contains Language, Violence, and brief discussions of Sexual Situations as it depicts characters grappling with the extreme situation of the sudden death of a loved one.
HIGH SCHOOL PLAY: A NOSTALGIA FEST: L, N, S
High School Play: A Nostalgia Fest contains Language, partial Nudity, and brief Sexual Situations in service of telling an honest story about high school seniors.

Noir contains Sexual Situations, Language, Violence, and drug use as it explores the classic film noir genre.

Sweat contains Language and Violence and depicts racism and addiction as the author strives to paint a realistic portrait of America today.
