Inspired by the Alley Theatre’s beloved K–8 Summer Camps, Alley Play Makers Lab offers exciting drop-in theatre classes during school breaks for students who love storytelling and creativity.

Each day introduces a new theme inspired by books, popular stories, or imaginative source material. Through acting, movement, visual arts, and hands-on theatre games, students dive into playful creative experiences that spark curiosity and self-expression. Guided by professional Alley Theatre Teaching Artists, participants build characters, invent original stories, and bring ideas to life through dynamic, age-appropriate activities.

Designed to nurture creativity and confidence, Alley Play Makers Lab encourages collaboration, social-emotional growth, and joyful exploration in a supportive environment. It’s the perfect arts experience for families seeking a structured, engaging program where young imaginations can thrive.

This exciting new opportunity invites young students to explore creativity, collaboration, and performance at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Play Makers Lab tuition is generously subsidized by the Pavilion, allowing families to participate in this inaugural camp experience at the significantly reduced cost of just $25.
