Joseph "Joe P." Palmore
Joseph “Joe P.” Palmore (Stage Directions) is a product of Jack Yates HS in Houston and Clark Atlanta University. He lives with the creative purpose of exploring and establishing himself as a playwright and director, nationally televised poet, award-winning actor, and teacher. Joe P has performed with such theatre houses as The Ensemble Theatre, Stages Repertory Theatre, 4th Wall Theatre Co., AD Players, and The Alley Theatre. His acting journey has since spread to commercial work and short film appearances. He has also partnered with Young Audiences of Houston, LINKS, and The World Youth Foundation, impacting the lives of youth and creating platforms for adult artists. Under his own umbrella, Joe P founded ACTing Up Studios to combine poetic and theatrical influences – helping students of the art to begin to shape themselves into true performance artists and life leaders. For his valiant efforts, Joe was awarded the “Leadership in Action” Congressional Recognition award for his services to youth. Gifted also with the spoken word, encouraging purpose living through his poetry, Joe featured on numerous stages across the United States, including a Season 4 performance on the nationally televised Lexus Verses and Flow on TV One. His poem entitled The Value of Life garnered viral attention, as his words inspire change and depict the societal conditions of the African American community. Joe has been dedicated to continually developing his craft, as well as helping others to find their purpose through the creative arts.

Duncan Abel
Duncan Abel is a writer of plays, radio plays and short stories. He lectured in Creative Writing at the University of Hertfordshire from 2014 to 2015. Duncan was shortlisted for the 2010 Luke Bitmead Award for his novel The Way Home. He also wrote, with co-writer Rachel Wagstaff, a monologue for Sing London, based on the life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, performed by Hugh Bonneville, recorded in 2014.

Lydia Hance (Choreographer) is a choreographer and curator whose work moves across dance, theater, and film. Dance Magazine has called her “a master of making dances in concert with a specific environment.” She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Frame Dance, chief curator of the Frame x Frame Film Festival, and co-creator of Frame Dance Classrooms, a professional development program bringing movement-based tools into early childhood classrooms. Eileen J. Morris
Eileen J. Morris (Director) is the Artistic Director of The Ensemble Theatre-Houston. Recent Ensemble Theatre directing credits: The Bluest Eye and Akeelah and the Bee. Alley Theatre directing credits: Fences (2026), associate director for Sweat (2021), and the Alley Theatre’s “All New” Festival. She also preformed as the first Black Ms. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol and appeared in the 1990 production of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. Eileen was named 2023’s Best Artistic Director by the Houston Press Awards. She holds the distinction of being the ONLY woman in the world to have directed nine out of the ten plays in the August Wilson Century Cycle.

Adam Noble (Fight Director & Intimacy Specialist) has over 30 years of professional experience augmenting physical storytelling in the performing arts. Certified by the Society of American Fight Directors and a recognized specialist in the field of intimacy direction, Adam teaches acting and movement nationally and internationally. William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare (Playwright) (1564–1616) was an English playwright, poet, and actor. Born in Stratford-upon-Avon, he later moved to London, where he became a key member and part-owner of the Lord Chamberlain’s Men (later the King’s Men). Shakespeare penned timeless masterpieces, including Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He became a part owner of the Globe Theatre, where many of his greatest plays were performed. Later, his company became the King’s Men under King James I. Shakespeare retired to Stratford before his death in 1616. His plays were collected in the First Folio in 1623.

Casey Stangl is an award-winning director based in Los Angeles. Recent projects include: a SJ Hodges’ Already Here premiered in Los Angeles in May 2026 and will perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August; Alabaster at the Fountain Theater, the world premiere of John Ross Bowie’s Brushstroke at the Odyssey Theater, A Few Good Men at La Mirada Theater, the world premiere of Josh Kornbluth’s Citizen Brain at Shotgun Players in Berkeley, and Bekah Brunstetter’s short playGentle Parenting for the 24 Hour Plays. In 2019 Casey was named Director of the Year by StageScene Los Angeles. Casey’s work has been seen at theaters across the country including South Coast Repertory, Geffen Playhouse, American Conservatory Theater, Guthrie Theater, Everyman Theater, Arizona Theater Company, La Jolla Playhouse, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Denver Center, Portland Stage and Cleveland Playhouse. Casey has developed work with numerous emerging and established playwrights and directed at the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, Humana Festival, Pacific Playwrights Festival, Playlabs, PlayPenn, In the Works-In the Woods Festival, and from 2105-22 was Associate Artistic Director for Ojai Playwrights Conference. A proud member of SDC, the national labor union for stage directors and choreographers, Casey served three terms on SDC’s Executive Board and was a voter for the Tony Awards. In addition to her work for the stage Casey does script adaptation and directs foreign language dubbing projects for Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and Amazon.

Jocelyn A. Thompson (Stage Manager) Returns for her 5th season here and her first Romeo and Juliet. Rachel Wagstaff
Rachel Wagstaff wrote the book for Flowers for Mrs Harris which transferred to Chichester Festival Theatre, directed by Daniel Evans, after premiering at the Sheffield Crucible. The original production won the UK Theatre Award for Best Musical and the London premiere at Riverside Studios won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off West End Production. Her critically acclaimed adaptation of Birdsong opened in the West End, and will be revived for a record-breaking fifth UK tour with Original Theatre in autumn 2024. With Duncan Abel she adapted Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code which toured the UK and made its US premiere at the Ogunquit Playhouse in 2023 and Paula Hawkins’ The Girl on the Train, which had a record-breaking UK tour and West End run in 2019 and is now performed across the UK and beyond. Her adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The Mirror Crack’d has enjoyed two UK tours and toured India. She has multiple TV and feature film adaptations in development.
