Eboni Booth’s Primary Trust is a case of the play that got away and has now returned to the Alley!  Our team has had our eye on this play for over five years when we first read it as a possibility for the Alley All New Festival.  We were all ready to offer Eboni a slot in our next festival and then the pandemic hit.  By the time we were back to doing live theatre again and ready for our next festival, Primary Trust’s fame had skyrocketed.  It already had a world premiere production in the works Off-Broadway at the Roundabout Theatre and theatres across the country were lined up to do their own productions once the Roundabout run had completed.  Along the way, the play won the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.  While we remember Primary Trust as a new script with promise, we are so proud to share it will you as a celebrated work of the American Theatre.

We are also delighted to have Niegel Smith back directing another play in the Neuhaus Theatre.  Niegel directed Syncing Ink in our 2016-17 season.

We hope you enjoy Primary Trust!

Primary Trust runs May 2 – May 25!
