Five Performances Added Due to Popular Demand

The Alley dives headfirst into high-stakes mystery this fall with the theatrical adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, based on Dan Brown’s international best-seller. Adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel and directed by Artistic Director Rob Melrose, this fast-paced thriller will run September 19 – October 19, 2025 in the Hubbard Theatre. Due to overwhelming demand, five performances have already been added.

The production follows symbologist Robert Langdon and cryptologist Sophie Neveu as they race across Europe to solve a deadly puzzle that could change history. Zack Fine stars as Langdon, with Resident Acting Company Member Melissa Molano as Sophie.

“It is exciting to offer Alley audiences this riveting story after its hugely successful run as a best-selling novel and a blockbuster movie,” remarked Melrose. “Alley audiences are experts in watching the thrilling mysteries of Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is especially fun to share a more modern version of a thriller with our audiences. As you can imagine, one of the challenges of putting this story on stage is what to do with the grand iconic locations. Our design team has pushed the boundaries of what we have done in the past to take us to these places with sets, video projection, costume, sound, and light.”

This show is also a career milestone for Resident Acting Company member Chris Hutchison, who marks his 100th production at Alley Theatre playing the enigmatic Silas. “Please join me in celebrating Chris’s major milestone!” adds Melrose.
