Meet our Summer Interns

Every summer, Alley Theatre provides internships for students across our departments, including theatre production, arts administration, and non-profit marketing and management. Meet the second set of this year’s incredible interns: Ashlynn, Luna, Solène, Annelise, and Erasmo!

Solène Partouche, Marketing Intern

University: Chapman University, Class of 2028

Pronouns: She/her

Which play from the 2026-27 season excites you most and why?
I am most excited for The Girl on the Train! I’m very interested in seeing how all of the different elements are portrayed on stage, especially the train itself!

What is your favorite part of working in theatre?
I love the community aspect! Coming together to work on a show is such an intimate process, and it’s so incredible to see your hard work go out into the world and how audiences react to it. There is something so special about a room full of people watching something together that will never happen again exactly the same.

Ashlynn Nash, Lighting Intern

University: University of Houston, 2028

Pronouns: She/Her

What are you most looking forward to in your summer with the Alley?
I am really excited for all of The Girl on the Train, from working on practical lights, to hanging and focusing all the lights, and especially seeing the programmer work during tech.

What’s your favorite memory at the Alley?
My favorite memory at the Alley is from a day I spent maintaining Fresnel Lights. I found one that was not working correctly, so I got to take it apart, figure out what was wrong, and put it all back together again. It was a lot of fun getting to figure out the issue myself and how to fix it.

Luna Stein, Scenic Intern

University: University of Houston, 2028

Pronouns: They/Them

What are you most looking forward to in your summer with the Alley?
I am really excited to get to meet new people, and to learn more ways to do scenic carpentry and welding.

What’s your favorite memory at the Alley?
My favorite memory is playing crossword games with the rest of the Scenic Team during breaks

Annelise Cable, Play Makers Intern

University: Pepperdine University, Class of 2028

Pronouns: She/Her

What is your favorite part of working in theatre?
My favorite part about working in theatre is collaborating with such creative minds!

What does your typical day at the Alley look like?
My typical day at the Alley looks like helping kids get dropped off and ready for camp, making crafts for our workshops, and teaching the kids how to create tableaus as an ensemble!

Erasmo Salinas, Scenic Intern

University: University of Nevada – Las Vegas, Masters Program

Pronouns: He/Him

What is your favorite part of working in theatre?
My favorite part about working in theatre is the amount of collaboration that is needed to make a show happen. There are so many elements in a show that is needed to make it happen and it is something special when everything comes together.

What’s your favorite memory at the Alley?
My favorite memory so far has been the pinewood derby that was hosted in the scene shop. Being able to see all the cars that were made as well as my own go down the track was very fun and exciting.
