We are thrilled to offer an experience that is sure to bring creative joy, in-person cheers, and fast friends to your kids. Each camp session explores big ideas and questions connected to classic award-winning children’s books. Rotations in Acting/Storytelling, Movement, and Makers’ Space bring these stories to life. Alley Play Makers culminates in a joyous, celebratory performance that demonstrates our campers’ learning for parents and friends.

- Session A: June 9-20 (9-day camp)
- Session B: June 23 – July 3 (9-day camp)
- Session C: July 7-11
- Session D: July 14-18
- Session E: July 21 – August 1
- Session F: August 4-8
Camp Hours:
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended care available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please keep in mind there is no extended care following the Open Workshop on the last day of camp.
Tuition:
Camp tuition varies by session, with optional AM and PM Extended Care for an additional fee.

Alley Theatre is proud to expand equitable access to our programs by reserving slots in every camp and age group for scholarships. DO NOT register online if you are applying for a scholarship. To apply for a scholarship, click here. Deadlines to apply are listed on the application form.
New – Simply Fresh Kitchen Lunch Service
We are so happy to announce that for the first time for camp, we are partnering with Simply Fresh Kitchen, a hot lunch service program. Simply Fresh Kitchen currently partners with schools across Houston, delivering fresh, nutritious lunches, and we are so excited to offer their options to our campers this Spring Break.
Ordering for your Camper:
- This program is completely optional.
- Lunches would be ordered from the Simply Fresh Kitchen website. Alley Theatre is only facilitating the delivery. All costs, inquiries and orders are through Simply Fresh Kitchen.
- If you order lunch for your camper, you will still need to send 2 snacks with them.
- We will send a welcome packet, explaining how to create an account and place orders for your camper upon registration.
Play Makers FAQ
To register for camps visit our Registration Page and select the appropriate camp from the list. Feel free to email ElenaVR@alleytheatre.org if you are having trouble registering online.
Play Makers is $340 per student for a one-week Spring Break or Summer session and $625 per student for each two-week Summer session with additional fees for extended care. If you are in need of financial assistance, click here to apply for a scholarship.
Teen Acting: Monologues is $350 for a one-week Spring Break session.

Before care takes place from 8:00am – 9:00am.
After Care takes place from 3-5pm. Your child will be escorted from their final Play Makers class to the After Care room at 3pm. Keep in mind there is NO after care on the last day of the session following the Open Workshop.

If you only need occasional care, Before or After Care can be purchased “a la carte” at $10/shift. To purchase care on an “a la carte” basis, please contact the Camp Administrator the day before your child will need care.

Camper Forms:
In order to help us compile all of the campers’ information, we ask that you complete your camper forms as soon as possible. Fill out one for EACH camper and make sure to fill out all sections: Camper Information & Emergency Contacts, Medical Information, Participation Agreement, Consent & Release, and Media Release.
Day 1:
Check In will be from 8:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. (Campers registered for before-care may arrive at 8:00 a.m.). We will confirm have all Camper Forms filled out and you can fill us in on any details to ensure a successful camp experience for your little one! Once the campers are signed in, they will be escorted to the warm-up room where their Play Makers journey will begin! After the first day, you can drop off your camper in the normal pick up and drop off locations. For any questions about pick-up and drop-off, please review our Parent Handbook or ask a Camp Administrator.
