I’m so excited to share José Cruz González’s beautiful play with Houston audiences. It is filled with energy, heart, and gorgeous Mariachi music. It is so perfect for our city and, in fact, just last week, I was enjoying the Mariachi Festival across the street at the Wortham Theater Center. What I love about this play is not only the compelling story but also how much it is able to teach about the art of Mariachi. I’m also delighted to welcome back KJ Sanchez (What-A-Christmas!, Quixote Nuevo) to direct a wonderful group of actors including many Alley audiences will recognize from past shows.
