Box Office Hours
Telephone hours: Tuesday through Sunday, Noon to 6pm and to curtain on performance days; Monday, Noon – 6:00pm. Box Office agents are able to help patrons with single ticket and season ticket orders, as well as provide information about directions, parking and nearby restaurants or hotels.
INSIDE TIP:Telephone lines are often busy early in the day. The best time to call is late afternoon or early evening.

Temporary parking is available in the AlleyWay (enter off Texas between Smith & Louisiana) when visiting the Box Office between Noon – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday. The busiest time at the Box Office is 1 hour prior to any performance, if you are not attending the performance we suggest you avoid this time period. If you are attending a performance and need to purchase for a future date, please do so at least one hour before curtain time. After that time, lines for will-call get very long, and future business can be given secondary priority.

The Alley Theatre lobby is open 60 minutes prior to the curtain time. The theatre opens for seating 30 minutes prior to curtain. Pre-order your intermission drink so you don’t have to wait in line.
The Alley Theatre can be accessed via the main entrance on Texas Avenue, through the AlleyWay.
Due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey, the Neuhaus Theatre entrance on the tunnel level is closed until the Neuhaus Theatre re-opens in January of 2018.
The run time for shows will be posted a few days before the play opens in previews. Check your pre-show virtual concierge email, visit the website, or call the Box Office for approximate run times.
Ticket Exchanges and Refunds
All ticket sales are final and there are no exchanges or refunds. Subscribers may exchange into alternate performances here.
LOST OR STOLEN TICKET REPLACEMENTSIf your tickets are lost or stolen, contact the Box Office to arrange for replacements.
As a courtesy to the audience and the actors, and for your safety, latecomers to the Hubbard Theatre will not be seated in their ticketed seats once the play has begun. Late seating in less disruptive sections of the house will be at the discretion of the House Manager. A video monitor and seating is provided in the bar. Patrons may take their ticketed seats following intermission.
Patrons who need to leave their seats during the performance will be readmitted to the back of the house and not to their ticketed seats. Please note that we are not able to accommodate late seating or re-seating in the Neuhaus Theatre due to the intimate nature of the space.
Because of the mature nature of most of our productions, we generally recommend our shows for children 13 years or older. Every child admitted must have a ticket and no child under six will be admitted. If you have questions about particular productions and content, please call our Box Office at 713.220.5700.
Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is not permitted in the Alley. Smoking is only permitted at least 25 feet from the building entrance.
Firearms Not Permitted
The Alley Theatre is firearms-free. Firearms, including without limitation handguns, shotguns, and rifles (whether concealed or openly carried) are prohibited on the Alley premises. See Penal Code sections 30.06 and 30.07 for more information in English and Spanish. Photography and Video Recording is strictly prohibited during the performance. Offenders may be removed without refund.
In the unlikely event that a show is cancelled, best efforts will be given to notify patrons at the earliest possible time; show cancellations are typically communicated via e-mail, phone, and social media. In the event of a cancellation, patrons are given the opportunity to move their tickets into another date of the production at no additional cost based on available seating. If a patron is not able to attend any of the remaining performances, they may select another production on the current Alley season to attend or request a refund. All refund requests must be submitted within 5 days of the production’s final performance. Patrons requesting refunds after this deadline will be given the option of using the value of their tickets toward another production on the current Alley season.
CAN’T MAKE THE SHOW?
If you are unable to use your tickets for any performance, you may return your tickets as a tax-deductible donation up to one half hour prior to curtain. We do not require the tickets at the time of the donation, but a donation receipt cannot be mailed until we receive the actual tickets. Please insert a note with your tickets that you wish to donate them to the Alley Theatre and mail them to the Box Office.
Please note: If you make a ticket donation by phone, please mail your tickets in right away. Occasionally patrons have forgotten about a donation and then tried to use or give the tickets to someone else. Patrons attending a performance with tickets that have been previously donated will not be admitted without a purchasing a ticket.
Appropriate Conduct & Liability
Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with Alley personnel and posted signs. Ticket holders expressly assume all liability for risk and danger incidental to the ticketed event. Your use of a ticket acknowledges your willingness to appear in photographs taken in public areas of the Alley Theatre, its leases and others from liability resulting from use of such photographs. Titles, artists, dates and prices are subject to change.
