Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best/fastest way to contact the Box Office?
E-mail is the best and fastest way to correspond with the Box Office. The e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we do our best to help you during this situation.
What are the current Box Office hours?
The Box Office staff will remotely check e-mails and voicemail Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. CT.
What are my ticket options for these canceled shows: Dead Man's Cell Phone, Amerikin, and/or Sense and Sensibility?
You have several options for your tickets. The following options are available:
- Put your unused ticket value on your account to be used as credit to purchase tickets to the 2020–21 season, including the holiday production.
- Generously donate the value of your tickets to help the Alley through this financially perilous time. We would be tremendously grateful for your support.*
- *Donating the value of your credit is a tax-deductible contribution.
- Request a full refund to your original method of payment. Please provide your customer ID number, order number, first and last name, and performance date(s) and time(s).
Donating the value of your ticket will help play a critical role in bringing the LIGHTS UP when the Alley Theatre reopens. Your donation will help offset the loss in ticket and subscription sales from canceling half of the 2019-20 Season and Summer Chills production. Please consider donating to our recovery now.
When can I expect donation receipts to be mailed or my refund to show up on my account?
Donations receipts are currently mailed weekly. Refunds are made to the credit card used to purchase the tickets and usually appear on your account within four or five days depending on the bank.
Can I use my parking 19/20 parking passes for next season?
Yes, your 19/20 parking passes can be used during the 20/21 season.
Can I still purchase the 1984 link to view it online?
We are so sorry you missed the viewing window for the Alley’s streaming production of 1984. Due to contract obligations with outside unions, the viewing window was limited from March 27 to April 12, 2020. Sadly, we cannot extend the viewing window due to these union agreements.
Are you going to film any of the other shows like you did with 1984?
While we have no solidified plans for filming, we are working with other LORT Theatres and national unions to secure additional opportunities to film Alley productions.
What do I do with my 19/20 ticket donation certificate? Can I use it for the 20/21 season?
We will honor Alley Theatre 19/20 tickets donation certificates that have already issued. At this time, our ticket donation for a 501(C)(3) charity event is temporarily suspended.
What is the 20/21 renewal deadline?
May 1, 2020 is the 20/21 renewal deadline.
When will the Alley Theatre have general auditions?
We will be holding our annual Houston General Auditions via taped submission this year. Look under “opportunities” on our website towards the middle of May for audition details and information regarding the submission time frame.
